I visited Miyako Island at the beginning of the month. Having not done my research beforehand, I was worried about finding a place to eat after getting on the bus. Although I made a seemingly unreasonable request—asking for restaurant recommendations—the local driver was incredibly helpful and attentive. After breakfast at the Tokyu Resort Hotel, we boarded a pre-booked chartered car. It was my first time visiting Miyako Island, and there were many places I hadn't been to before. The 6-hour chartered car tour covered half the attractions on the first day, so we added another day at the last minute, asking our driver, Mr. Oshiro, to take us to the places we planned to visit the next day. This time I flew directly to Shimojima Airport on Miyako Island, Okinawa with Starlux Airlines. I booked a car through a travel agency that offers airport transfers. Beforehand, I inquired via LINE about the luggage capacity in the back of the car, and they replied quickly and accurately! The car was perfect for two adults and one child – a four-seater! The car was clean and new. Communicating in Chinese was very convenient. Highly recommended!
