Upon arriving at Kingdom Village, the entrance to Yuquan Cave is on your left, but please note that it is completely unsuitable for wheelchairs! Inside, there is a long downhill walk, with an escalator at the end to take you back up! The entire journey is about 2 kilometers, but it is definitely a worthwhile southern attraction!
It was truly breathtaking and definitely worth exploring. There were also taiko drumming and snake shows to watch! I learned a lot about Okinawa, especially the drumming performances and the cave tour. The explanations about the snakes were also very interesting. I recommend setting aside at least two hours for the visit!

Tickets are 2000 yen for adults and 1000 yen for children (buying tickets in advance is cheaper and saves you from queuing). After swiping your card, a Line staff member will give you a confirmation slip, and then you can pick up your physical ticket directly at the window. The temperature inside the cave was cool, only 21 degrees Celsius. The whole experience took about 2.5 hours – a fantastic experience!
For this trip, I booked tickets for Gyokusendo Cave through Xingjiao Okinawa. The process was convenient; I simply showed the confirmation slip from Xingjiao staff and exchanged it for tickets at the counter at the entrance. It was cheap and hassle-free!
Booking tickets online is about 100 yen cheaper, and you can exchange them directly at the venue, which is quite convenient. Kingdom Village in southern Okinawa is definitely worth a visit. It has huge stalactite caves, and although the lighting isn't overly bright, every angle is photogenic. The walk inside the cave takes about 20-30 minutes, and after exiting, you can browse various folk crafts and shops. There's also a taiko drum show at the center of the area, but time and seats are limited, so it's recommended to arrive 10 minutes early if you want to see it. Overall, it's a very worthwhile Okinawa destination!
